Support Engineer

GLiNTECH is growing! As part of our Managed Services team, you’ll join a group of dedicated professionals focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes. We’re looking for a Support Engineer to provide support, configuration, and implementation services for Atlassian products. If you have a passion for technology and love solving technical challenges, this role is for you!
About the role:
This isn’t your typical break-fix support role. As an Atlassian generalist, you’ll provide support, design, and implementation services, helping clients maximise their use of the Atlassian suite.
Reporting to the Support Engineer, Team Lead, you will:
- Provide ticket-based, email, and phone support for clients, partners, and internal teams around the Atlassian tools and supporting infrastructure.
- Triage and resolve support requests.
- Manage Level 1, 2 and 3 tickets, including queries, incidents, problems, and planned changes.
- Develop expertise across the Atlassian suite and common marketplace apps.
- Contribute to GLiNTECH’s knowledge base.

Technical criteria
- Experience working on an IT support desk.
- Proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Foundational coding skills with a willingness to develop further.
- Experience administering or configuring enterprise software (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
- Understanding of SQL databases, networking concepts, and Java.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (especially Jira) – desirable.
- Familiarity with AWS.
Operational criteria
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think quickly and work autonomously.
- Enjoys both team collaboration and independent problem-solving.
Must have:
- Either a Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
- A 'can-do' attitude with the desire to contribute to a high-performing team.
- The right to work full-time in Australia.

- This 2nd interview is about the technical aspects of the role and your experience. A team member, the Hiring Manager and a Director will attend this meeting and if successful, an employment offer will be made within 72 hours.
